About Me...
I have worked at IRSC since 2002. I began as an adjunct instructor in the Academic Support Center (back then it was the CPI lab) tutoring math. I also taught courses in the Developmental Education Department, as well as the Mathematics Department. I joined the Mathematics department on a full-time basis in the Fall of 2004.
I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Math Education in 1996 from the University of Central Florida, and then with a Master's in Math Education in 2003, also from UCF. I have taught at the high school level in both Palm Beach County and Seminole County. I am a member of AAUP, FTYCMA, and FACC. I have served on the Brain Bowl Committee, the Distance Learning Workgroup, QEP development and the Math Club. I am a member of the QEP Curriculum Committee and the QEP Research and Implementation Committee.
I am married and a mother of two beautiful daughters. We worship and serve at The Crossing Church. In my spare time, I enjoy singing and watching crime dramas. I also volunteer with an organization called Southeast Florida Chrysalis, which is an outreach dedicated to impacting the lives of teenagers and young adults.
